FoodShare
CLIENT: RIT FoodShare
DELIVERABLE(S): New logo, branding and visual identity consisting of but not limited to: promotional content, signage, posters, etc.; additionally, an interior redesign of the FoodShare Center
PURPOSE: Bring awareness to FoodShare and its mission through cohesive and clean branding, making it more appealing and approachable. Doing so would not only help normalize, but dissipate the negative stigmas of food insecurity.
AUDIENCE: RIT community: students, faculty and staff
CHALLENGE: 1.) Inconsistent/bad branding; current content isn’t designed well and is all over the place. The inside of the FoodShare Center interior looks rundown and unapproachable. 2.) Sad stigma; people are often afraid or hesitant to go to FoodShare Center because of the stigma around asking or needing help. 3.) No presence; most people don’t know what FoodShare is, what it does, or where it is.

WHAT IS FOODSHARE?
FoodShare is an organization on RIT that not only addresses food waste, but a problem on college campuses across the U.S. known as food insecurity.
FoodShare lives as a Facebook group (where people can post where there is food available on campus), a Facebook Page, and as the FoodShare Center, a building on campus where anyone part of RIT can donate, swap, or take food.
